Set of Ten Brass Rings

$1.50

These solid brass rings are a 1/2" (12 mm) in diameter and are used in making fabric covered and thread covered buttons. The sturdy brass ring itself is 1/16" (1.6 mm) thick. These are a good size for waistcoat buttons for the entire 18th and early 19th century but these rings may be used anywhere a small cloth or thread covered button is required. White or off-white linen 35/2 thread) works well when making crosswheel buttons.

Instructions for making both kinds of button are found in The Lady's Guide to Plain Sewing [Book II].
