100% Linen, ~5.5 oz., 54" wide
This linen has a natural earthy taffy color. Linen of this weight is good for men's waistcoats. It will also work for a woman's gown, jacket or petticoat. In The New-London Gazette of 1775, "Ran-away . . . a Scotch Servant Man . . . had on when he went away two light coloured Jackets the outside one patch'd with blue" from personal communication with Mike Barbieri. Unbleached 35/2 linen thread will work well for hand sewing this fabric.
