BCS131 buckles, private collection originally French, will accommodate 7/8" latchet. Overall dimensions are 1 1/4" by 1 5/8". This is the smallest shoe buckle we have and will be good for a child's or women's shoe or for an early c. 1720s or later shoe. Double spikes on the chape became common around 1720.
