5/8″ Green Worsted Wool Tape
$3.00
Made in England
5/8″ (16 mm)
This works for binding the bottom of women’s petticoats or the ties of cloaks. This width also works as a binding on livery coats, jackets or breeches but has many other uses. In 1767, in The Boston Post Boy, included “Ran away . . . an Irish indented Servant . . . had on when he went away, which was last Evening, a Felt Hat trimmed with green” from personal communication with Mike Barbieri. Green 35/2 linen thread match this tape well but the 80/3 medium green is only a slight bit off as well.
