Leather Ladies White Gloves

These are vintage white kit leather gloves that will only fit a very slender hand. They measure 14 1/2″ from tip of the index finger to the opening and have one small tear at the opening of the right glove but the fingers show little wear. The thumb and tallest finger both measure 3″. For example in The Proceedings of the Old Bailey in 1749 a “spinster, was indicted for stealing . . .  one pair of leather gloves, value 1 s.”
