This 1770 to 1800 workman's jacket with sleeves includes three sleeve style variations. This jacket works well for late colonial or early federalist period clothing. For example included in the 1770 Proceedings of the Old Bailey, London, a witness in a highway robbery trial described the highwayman "in a short jacket; Newman had a long pistol; he was in a short jacket, his own hair, and a round cap."
