BCS 101 Pair of Knee Buckles

This buckle is a plain heavy duty military buckle size 7/8″. In The Virginia Gazette in 1775, “RAN away . . .  two following servants . . .  [one of them] an Englishman, a hatter by trade . . .  had on, and took with him . . .  plain pinchbeck knee and shoe buckles.”
