BCS 103 Pair of Knee Buckles, Nickle


The original belonged to Samuel Avery of Preston, Connecticut circa 1760. The size is 1 3/16″ and it is now available in German silver. In New Jersey in 1776 a horse thief was described as wearing “buckskin breeches, something sullied, [and] plated buckles”.
